California Condor Recovery
Presented by Debbie Jasek Parisi, along with others
California Condor recovery will be discussed, with information about the bird, it’s history and the efforts to save this endangered species.
This program will feature several speakers. Each speaker in the program will participate through their collaboration with the Friends of CA Condors Wild and Free. Each has a niche in the condor monitoring and recovery effort, about which they will talk more.
Debbie Parisi is a member of the Friends of Condors. She volunteers to coordinate and bring programs to interested groups. She works closely with Daniel Cook of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Andrew Clare of the Great Basin Institute, and Leah Schrodt of the Oregon Zoo.
Debbie Parisi is a board member of the non-profit Friends of the California Condor, Wild & Free which supports the USFWS refuges’ home to the endangered California Condor. She has been a USFWS volunteer since 2008 working on the refuges as a CACO nest monitor and radio telemetry tracker in support of the California Condor Recovery program. She is an amateur naturalist with a level 3 wildlife track and sign certification.
